Kaspar König

01.01.17 - 10.01.17

Kaspar Konig (NL `75) is a sound-sculpturer and works mainly with new objects & new instruments in new scores that have their own narrative expression. He loves transdisciplinary crossovers from not only design, sound and research – his interest in environmental, societal and cultural juxtapositions is fundamental and inspires him to look over any border. With the invention of a webcam-sound-mapping tool- he is able to translate any live image into live sound… try it yourself in www.listentocolors.net.

Kaspar we also organised a SNOOZE NIGHT that was held in a rural location linked to Curtidas. We made 12+ beds and space in Can Gessa, to let every participant sleep and be awake as it pleased them you. All through the night Kaspar composed waves that could impact on the oneiric journeys.

How was it to be in-between sleep and wake? Did you do smalltalk with your subconscious? Did you have any particular dream in that mindful state?

Annalena Müller

15.08.16 - 06.09.16

Annalena Müller is a visual artist, curator and art educator based in Zurich, Switzerland. Her artistic practice spans from illustration and painting to installation and site-specific art. The underlying themes of her work are often relating to the ephemera, the quest for light in its relation to darkness, the impact color has, and to the natural world, especially forms and vibes coming from the ocean.

Annalena’s concept for Curtidas was to use the display windows as her visual blog, where she would ‘post‘ something new every other day, based on her experiences in Barcelona. Often on display were small, found objects, brought back from her extensive bike-excursions. They were accompanied by short, witty written comments, reflecting the artist’s thought process when picking up the pieces. She also painted on the glass of the windows directly, to create a personal background for displaying her findings. The buildings of Antoni Gaudí became a major inspiration for Annalena, as well as the vibrant local skate- and graffiti scene.
