Valentin Egli is a Swiss carpenter and artist. Translating the world and his immediate surroundings into a system of lines is central to his work: creating constructed forms from organic textures. Thanks to his connection to wood and though its frottage, he captures the stories contained in it. By putting colors in proportion and balance he turns the organic lines of wood into language and form. Working with the already existing and exploring its possibilities is a constant part of Valentin’s search.
